We’re introducing this exciting role for an experienced Cost Modeller to join our Cost Assurance team. As a Cost Modeller, you will play a critical role in our financial planning and decision-making processes by developing detailed cost models that support project proposals, pricing, and budgeting strategies. This position requires analytical acumen, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of both quantitative data and business operations.

  • Oversee all pricing and commercial risk elements of a bid
  • Take full ownership and accountability for the accuracy of all components of bids assigned to the Cost Modeller
  • Advocate for a commercially competitive strategy in all bidding activities, ensuring Bellrock is positioned as favourably as possible for every opportunity pursued
  • Lead the development of the commercial solution and pricing strategy, identifying risks and opportunities within the bid
  • Utilize company benchmarking effectively to assess and enhance our competitive edge, ensuring that cost models underpinning our bids are both competitive and feasible
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for costing models, collaborating with suppliers, procurement, and operational teams to guarantee the bids include the most efficient and competitive operational solutions
  • Implement various pricing methodologies, including top-down and bottom-up approaches, as part of formulating the overall solution
  • Conduct comprehensive cost analysis for hard services solutions based on asset lists and site assessments
  • Manage and collect subcontractor quotes
  • Act as a liaison to other departments, such as Operations, Insurance, Legal, and People and Culture
  • Be the focal point for all financial aspects of any bid you oversee, ensuring adherence to internal governance standards and finance policies
  • Organize and lead financial workshops throughout the tender process
  • Coordinate and finalize all necessary internal and external pricing summaries, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and client tender submission requirements
  • Participate in the commercial sign-off process, ensuring all relevant financial information is provided and accurate at the appropriate stages
  • Attend site visits, client meetings, presentations, and both internal and external meetings as needed
  • Maintain and update all records (both electronic and manual) and fulfil other internal audit requirements consistently
  • Collaborate with transitional, operational, and finance teams to ensure a seamless transfer of financial and management data upon contract award or retention

And as a Cost Modeller with Bellrock, you’ll do it by…

  • Demonstrated success in estimating within Facilities Management or a similar field – preferred
  • Experience in data analysis or a comparable role, with a proven record of accurate cost estimations and contributing to a successful team
  • Familiarity with SFG20 and other maintenance protocols – preferred
  • Experience in Private and Public Sector Procurement, such as bids for Crown Commercial Services and the National Health Service – preferred
  • Knowledge of various pricing strategies, including top-down and bottom-up approaches, and the ability to utilize different commercial models

  • Recognized qualifications with demonstrated technical proficiency
  • Strong team player who actively collaborates with the bid team, working closely with all members to develop effective solutions
  • Demonstratable business and process modelling 
  • Capacity for critical thinking to evaluate alternative options, solve problems through root cause analysis, and weigh the pros and cons of different strategies to achieve goals
  • Knowledge of relevant technology and business systems
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, adhere to deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong technical understanding of assets and systems
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Organizational skills to prioritize and manage workload effectively
  • High level of analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills across various levels of the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel capabilities
  • Financially literate, with an understanding of P&L, BS, cash flow statements, and general financial modelling
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including TUPE and minimum wage regulations
  • Capability to influence discussions and maintain credibility
  • Displays a positive and enthusiastic demeanour


Working arrangements

In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work from the Leicester office and two days a week with the team and the rest of the week can be worked from home.
