Job Description

Sales Development Manager

At Bellrock, we harness technology to give our customers an experience that not only leaves them with advanced building systems. But with peace of mind. And we unlock that by being technology-led, but people-driven. So when you’re part of Bellrock, you’ll get everything you need to be your best at work - because our people are the heart of our business. And we’re all about helping them to shine.

Part of the Bellrock Group, Concerto has been a market-disrupting innovator of cloud-based software since 2004, delivering market-leading CAFM/IWMS solutions. Based in Stockton Heath, Warrington and Leicester, our technology is trusted by household names, such as John Lewis & Waitrose, Wagamama and University of Oxford, along with many other blue-chip and public sector organisations who rely on our technology to monitor and manage all aspects of property asset information, processes and risk.

Concerto is a well-established business with a solid financial base but has the agile mindset of a start-up. Having proven our technology in a highly competitive landscape and recently acquired new owners/investment, Concerto has plans to scale the business significantly.

How will you be the change?

We believe every role is essential to providing that peace of mind for our customers - whatever part of the business you’re in. Because every role plays a part in driving us further. And everyone can be the change. That’s how deliver value for our customers, and building systems that lead the way

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Development Manager to join our growing UK-based SaaS company. In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of sales development representatives (SDRs), ensuring they meet their individual and team targets. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement effective sales strategies, providing guidance and support to your team members. This team will be mainly new to sales, potentially their first full time job role, and will require support and mentorship to succeed.

  • You will also be directly involved in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, maintaining a robust sales pipeline, and working closely with the marketing and sales teams to optimize lead generation and conversion.
  • This role will include building prospect databases; cold calling to try and secure meetings; as well as responding promptly to marketing MQLs and SQLs to help move them down the funnel at speed.
  • Can also organise effective LinkedIn prospecting campaigns where calling isn’t proving effective.
  • The role will also have access to all inbound leads; and will distribute out to the team fairly. All leads must be responded to within 20 mins during normal working hours. Live chat will also be the responsibility of the team. Outside office hours a bot will manage live chat.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to meet and exceed individual and team targets.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and processes to drive lead generation and conversion, including measuring team performance against KPIs and providing call scripts and support.
  • Self-starter who will quickly learn the Concerto product and be able to conduct basic demos to customers when needed.
  • Monitor team performance, providing regular feedback, coaching, and support to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Set clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the SDR team, tracking progress and addressing any performance issues.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the SDR team.

As a Sales Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our sales organization. Your hands-on approach will involve setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, and providing regular feedback to help your team members grow and succeed.
