Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive test strategy and test plans aligned to project objectives and risk profiles.
• Lead and manage through all phases of testing (unit, integration, system, user acceptance)
• Coordinate test resource requirements, testing schedules, and defect triage sessions
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using selected frameworks and tools
• Oversee defect logging, tracking, and resolution; ensure traceability from requirements to test cases to fixes
• Facilitate cross-team collaboration between development, operations, and business stakeholders to identify dependencies and mitigate risks
• Report on test progress, quality metrics, and release readiness in line with project delivery governance
• Ensure compliance with security, performance, and regulatory testing requirements where applicable
• Work collaboratively across departments to understand business challenges, clarify requirements, and ensure digital solutions meet user and organisational needs.

Skills & experience:

• Solid experience in software testing, including hands-on experience with manual and automated testing.
• Proven track record leading testing in both Agile and Waterfall project environments
• Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies (risk-based testing, exploratory testing, performance testing)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Organised, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities.
