Junior Project Manager

The Minor Works Junior Project Manager will help to deliver all Project work Nationally, Complete refurbishment projects to defined specifications, handing over projects on time, in budget and snag free.

And as a Junior Project Manager with Bellrock, you’ll do it by…

  • Assisting in the provision of technical guidance to clients and internal colleagues within your area of expertise.
  • Attend project briefings, progress and hand-over meetings as instructed.
  • Assist in the preparation of briefs, design schemes and specifications.
  • Provide regular progress reports to clients ensuring variations or unforeseen issues are reported immediately.
  • Assist in co-ordination the work of direct & subcontractor labour.
  • Assist in managing performance of all trade contractors.
  • Assist in reviewing architectural and engineering drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
  • Assist in the administration of construction projects obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.
  • Generally assist to manage day to day operational and technical aspects of multiple construction projects in a junior role.
  • Complete Engineer audits.
  • Responsible for completing PQQ , Quality and Legal tender Packs.


Resource Planning

  • Identify, estimate and quantify labour requirements for works to be carried out.
  • Assist in scheduling direct/sub-contractor labour.


Ordering, Estimating & Quoting

  • Identify, estimate and quantify material requirements, obtaining written supplier quotations from approved suppliers where necessary.
  • Research costs of operating or hiring plant/specialist equipment, transport costs, labour and other overheads.


Finance:

  • Assist monitoring and managing project budgets.
  • Assist in managing financial changes to scope of works ensuring variations are approved and budgets are uplifted.
  • Assist in the compilation of final accounts and assist the Billing Team to prepare interim and final invoices.


Client Relations & Liaison:

  • Maintain the professional image of the company at all times.
  • Maintain and build effective relationships with Project Managers, engineers, sub-contractors and clients.
  • Promptly action communication from internal and external sources.
  • Update internal works management information software.
  • Help resolve any client-related queries, issues or disputes.


Quality & Environmental Compliance:

  • Assist in monitoring methods and outputs to ensure that required quality standards are achieved at minimal cost.
  • Support development, management and improvement of quality and environmental management systems.



Health & Safety Compliance:

  • Assist monitoring practices and routines to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and best practice.
  • Assist in the compliance of site inductions.
  • Immediately report any H&S issues, concerns, bad practice or non-conformance to management.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction phase plans & site specific risk and method Statements.
  • Manage permits as required.
  • Complete health & saftey Reports, ensure engineers are delivery work safely and to a high standard.

General:

  • Participate in the management call out rota as designated.
  • Assist in the supervision and management of Engineers.
  • Carry out other duties consistent with the job-holder’s knowledge and skills which are necessary for the satisfactory completion of contracts or business goals.
  • To perform any other reasonable, minor and non-recurring duties appropriate to the post as may be directed.
  • To use and assist others in the use of IT systems to carry out duties in the most efficient and effective manner.

Working arrangements

We embrace smarter working practices which offer our employees the opportunity to work their hours flexibly and remotely where their roles and business needs allow. In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work full time office based, Sovereign Court 300 Barrow Road Sheffield S9 1JQ. Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.
