Strategic Supplier Relationship Manager

The Strategic Relationship Manager supports the Account Director by developing and managing relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and most importantly our client. They ensure that the commercial and service requirements of the client are supported by the strategic and collaborative partnerships that they create with our supply partners. They will explore business growth opportunities for Bellrock, and deliver the company’s strategic objectives, whilst maintaining mutually beneficial partnerships with all stakeholders. The Strategic Relationship Manager role is a unique opportunity to demonstrate commercial, tendering and contracting skills, whilst delivering the supplier strategy and overseeing the contractual customer relationship.

And as a Strategic Relationship Manager with Bellrock, you’ll do it by…

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and the client, through collaboration and trust.
  • Strategic planning and delivery that enables supplier performance to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Understanding of client needs and expectations to align services and solutions effectively.
  • Utilise your team to track and review the performance of suppliers and strategy, encourage innovation, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Lead negotiations related to contracts, agreements, and service level expectations, ensuring opportunities are met and aligned with Bellrock’s commercial and wider business objectives.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams (commercial, finance, legal, central procurement and supplier management etc.) to deliver value-adding solutions for the client within strong contractual frameworks.
  • Preparing adhoc reports and presentations for senior stakeholders on commercial opportunities and compliance, strategic recommendations, and supplier performance.
  • Staying up to date with market conditions and industry trends, recognising opportunities through supplier innovation, and being able to meet challenges proactively.

What does it take?

If you’re ready to be the energy that helps us build our business, share our success, and really own it as a Strategic Relationship Manager, you’ll need…

  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Preferably MCIPS qualified or willing to work towards qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience of a similar role.
  • Potentially a Facilities Management (FM) qualification or working towards an FM qualification.
  • Experience of strategic supplier management preferably in a maintenance or service environment.
  • Strong commercial contract understanding and awareness.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of managing multiple priorities.
  • Data management, analysis and reporting.
  • Experience of adhering to processes and procedures.
  • Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability awareness.
  • Potentially the IOSH Managing Safely qualification.

Working arrangements

We embrace smarter working practices which offer our employees the opportunity to work their hours flexibly and remotely where their roles and business needs allow. In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work between home address and Head Office, Leicester, LE1 6LP. Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
