Technical Facilities Manager

We have a brand-new exciting opportunity for an All-encompassing Technical Manager looking to join a progressive and forward-thinking customer who is based in the Severn Beach, Bristol region of the UK. This is a challenging, hardworking, and rewarding opportunity, ideally looking for a forward-thinking, dedicated, and ambitious individual.

And as a Technical Facilities Manager with Bellrock, you’ll do it by…

  • Manage day-to-day operations, including repair and maintenance, Security, cleaning, the change control process, procurement, accounting, and budgeting-related issues….
  • Manage/execute the Day-to-Day Operations & maintenance
  • Preparation of maintenance contract & scope of service
  • Supervise and consult with external vendors in respect of regular communications and ad-hoc work and respond to issues that arise.
  • Manages specifications, problems, issues, performance, and administration.
  • Prepare Management reports, PowerPoint presentations, SOP/EOP, Critical activities planning such as Power down and pull-the-plug tests, Emergency / Disaster Recovery plans / Business Continuity Plans, reports…etc.
  • As an incident manager manage all incidents and prepare incident reports.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to gain feedback on customers’ inquiries.
  • Intervenes, analyses, manages, and resolves business conflicts between the company and the vendors/suppliers.
  • Implementing procedures of safety system and performance measurement like scorecard to ensure quality and reliability of services meeting client’s requirements.
  • Provide superior customer service to clients through all Facility functions.
  • Routinely inspect all areas to ensure performance measures are being maintained and proactively self-reporting the problems of facilities.
  • Able to track and update the financial budget.
  • Consult with the Production Manager and produce operation reports every week.
  • Liaise with the Production Manager and be responsible for the recruitment of new property management staff when required.
  • Responsible for Facility Management operations.
  • A Proven record of handling Uptime Certification is necessary.
  • Establish engineering and operation procedures and roll out for site staff.
  • Observe and control of the laws and regulations, organize and manage the onsite electrical organization as an electrical specialist with overall responsibility (qualification minimum Bachelor Professional/Master Professional Electrical).
  • Ensure compliance with all local statutory regulations.
  • Emergency call support and site attendance for troubleshooting.
  • Implement the energy/cost initiative program.
  • Managing all vendors to conduct maintenance for all installations during the weekend and review maintenance reports.
  • Development of technical service standards.
  • Assist the Production Manager in preparing Critical Environment procedures.
  • Provide solutions for technical issues.
  • Initiate a system to measure the quality of performance.
  • Initiate a preventive management program.
  • Participate in a Disaster Recovery Plan per the Client’s requirement.
  • Manage and Monitor the Infrastructure Management System (DCIM) and all sub-systems including but not limited to BMS, PMS, and SMS. Update technical drawings regularly / Inventory list / Asset list …etc.
  • Manage Customers Onsite Catering Provision.
  • Perform Burn-in Test and current Leakage Test for the Site.
  • Plan drills for the engineer, get approval by TFM then record the drill on the shared drive
  • Coordinate with the local utility company and conduct routine checks and maintenance
  • Check and approve all the RAMS submitted by all vendors.
  • Manage Security staff, routine meetings with the security company, and responsible for security staff performance.

What does it take?

If you’re ready to be the energy that helps us build our business, share our success, and really own it as a Technical Facilities Manager, you’ll need…

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.

  • Minimum 5 years practical experience in facilities operation in Data Centre, Telecommunications industry.

  • With a locally certified license and ability to coordinate with utility companies and deal with High Voltage.

  • Familiar with critical facilities including Chiller, CRAC, UPS, STS, Genset, Nitrogen, Pre-action Sprinkler System, etc.

  • Strong leadership, people, and communication skills

  • Strong PC literacy and proven ability to manage daily activities using various systems including MS Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Good command of both written and spoken English.

  • Holder of HND/HNC or above degree in Electrical or Mechanical.

  • Be available as part of the on-call team to provide 7 x 24 Emergency service (non-office hours standby)
