Due to continued growth, Concerto is seeking a highly motivated, tenacious, and experienced Bid Manager.Reporting to the Concerto Business Development Director, as a Bid Manager at Concerto, your purpose is to lead the company's bid process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality proposals to potential and existing clients. You will play a pivotal role in identifying business opportunities, managing, and coordinating bid submissions, and influencing the company's market position and growth. Your contribution will significantly impact our ability to secure new contracts and maintain relationships with our existing client base.

  • Identifying Business Opportunities: Working with the Business Development Director and Managers, you will possess the ability to map the market. You will use our group market intelligence tools to identify, evaluate and qualify new business opportunities that align with Concerto's growth objectives.
  • Managing Bid Processes: Oversee the entire bid process, including preparation, submission, follow-up and managing post contract award procurement processes. You will ensure all bids are submitted in a timely manner and in a way that maximises their chances of success.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product and mobilisation, to create comprehensive and compelling bid proposals. You will be a key liaison, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across the organisation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Conduct bid reviews and debriefs to extract key learnings and insights. This information will be used to continuously improve the bid process and increase our success rate.
  • Maintain a Bid Library: Regularly update and maintain a bid library of content that can be utilised to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in future bid processes.
  • Assisting with Other Writing Duties: During periods with reduced bid activity, you may be required to assist with other writing duties, e.g., creating or proof-reading copy for marketing materials, client comms or user guides.

What does it take?

If you’re ready to be the energy that helps us build our business, share our success, and really own it as a Bid Manager, you’ll need…

  • Education & Experience: An undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, coupled with proven experience in a similar role. Prior experience in bidding for facilities management contracts or SaaS solutions is an absolute must.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can articulate complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Teamwork: Strong team player with the ability to coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Bid Management Knowledge: Strong understanding of the bid process, including proposal writing and contract negotiations.
  • Technical Proficiency: You will be tech savvy individual. You will have proficiency in relevant software, such as HubSpot, Tender and Procurement Portals, Contracts Advance, Microsoft Office


Working arrangements

In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work from home with occasional travel to the Concerto, Warrington office and site visits.
