Fire Engineer

As a Fire Engineer you will be expected to successfully delivery of high-quality fire safety services, as commissioned through the Bellrock brands. You will be responsible for the delivery of technical and complex fire engineering and consultancy projects, upholding and ensuring Others abide to the company and professional bodies code of conduct and culture. Within role, it is expected that Fire Engineers will play a positive part in the development and mentoring of other fire safety teams where needed, such as to fire risk assessors or passive fire protection surveyors; support is expected through the coordination and delivery of CPD activities and acting as a focal point for technical fire safety queries.

And as a Fire Consultant with Bellrock, you’ll do it by…

  • To provide technically sound fire consultancy and fire engineering advice to a range of Clients.
  • Manage day to day delivery of work, ensuring a high-quality service is established and maintained.
  • Attend and assist in the delivery of Continued Professional Development (CPD).
  • Provide technical support and guidance on fire safety matters.
  • To undertake project work, populating project management folders, scheduling surveys, preparing risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) in accordance with legislative requirements.
  • Assist with other HR duties which may reasonably be required within the nature of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Work towards, achieve and maintain at least EngTech but preferably Incorporated Fire Engineer status with the Engineering Council via the Institute of Fire Engineers.

  • Personal motivation: enthusiastic and willing to improve, commits self to work hard towards goals.
  • Sound knowledge of Fire Consultancy services ( f ire safety strategies, f ire engineering etc…) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
  • Holds, or is working towards, a Bachelors degree ( f ire engineering related).
  • To be up to date with current legislation to advise clients accordingly.
  • High degree of direction, self - reliance and assertiveness.
  • Ability to challenge positively and seeks to resolves difficult issues.
  • Displays strong planning, communication, and people skills together with a “ hands- on” approach.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, ability to influence diverse groups and engage both internally and externally; has passion and enthusiasm to succeed.


Working arrangements

In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work from the London Paddington office and working two days a week with the team and the rest of the week can be worked from home.
