Bid Manager - Bellrock Technologies

Due to continued growth Bellrock Technologies is looking for an experienced Bid Manager to lead the bid process for our product Concerto. This is a fast-growing business, and most opportunities require a formal tender or proposal to be submitted to an agreed deadline. We are looking for someone with experience across both the public and private sectors; but also, someone who has experience of writing software bids. At Bellrock Technologies we have a team of BDMs who own all bids, and we utilise AutoGen as our knowledge library, but we do require someone who can lay the foundations of content out for all tenders to help the BDMs who juggling bid writing with client meetings. On top of this, we are looking for someone with strong project management skills, ability to hold key stakeholders to deadlines, create robust project plans for all live bids, and review tender documents both from a client side to draft project plans; and internally to ensure we are maximising our quality scores.

And as a Bid Manager with Concerto, you’ll do it by…
- To monitor the email alerts and highlight all tenders that might be appropriate for Bellrock Technologies to bid on.
- To own the various tender portals, responding to all messages in a timely fashion.
- To arrange and chair the weekly Bid Meeting on a Monday and arrange and chair daily/additional meetings as needed.
- To review all new tenders with assigned BDM, and complete a formal bid/no bid review, chairing the meeting with the relevant stakeholders to get agreement. This also includes reviewing the contract and flagging anything that might be an issue against Concerto’s t&cs/standard contract.
- To create detailed, granular project plans for all new tenders, with clear responsibilities and deadlines for all associated tasks. All tasks to be broken down into smaller tasks where appropriate to ensure work is being completed as needed.
- To refine the current bid process as needed to ensure a robust bid process.
- To complete all the standard tender information for all bids.
- Coordinate QCs and a timely submission of any questions we need to ask to make decisions or write high quality responses.
- To use and keep the bid library up to date with all new content, both from new bid submissions but also across the organisation.
- Build strong relationships with the product team, keep up to date with new functionality and getting content to support this.
- Use AutoGen effectively to draft initial responses to all quality questions, to help the BDMs draft their tenders. Working within Bellrock Technologies’ language guidelines and tone of voice to get answers crafted as needed and prompting and instructing the system as needed to get high quality answers.
- Ensure all technical responses are reviewed by the Solutions Director for sign off.
- To review all tenders holistically before they go to the Sales & Marketing Director for sign off and scored against the marking system where relevant.
- To work with Marketing as needed on creating strong visual responses, both with templates but also infographics etc that will add value to the bid responses.
What does it take?
If you’re ready to be the energy that helps us build our business, share our success, and really own it as a Bid Manager, you’ll need…
- At least 5 years’ experience as a Bid Manager across both the public and private sector, with at least 2 years’ experience writing and managing software/SaaS bids.
- Strong, evidencable project management skills.
- Strong at managing multiple tenders simultaneously, managing your own workload as well as other key stakeholders.
- Ability to hold wider stakeholders and peers to deadlines, and judgement to escalate to your manager when needed.
- Ability to work as a solo team member initially, as there is no wider bid team at present. But this role is supported by the wider Sales and Marketing Team.
- Experience at writing initial bid drafts, including ideally experience of using Ai in bid content generation.
- Experience in using M365; Teams in particular; tender and procurement portals, contracts advance; Ai (ideally AutoGen) and a CRM.

- Problem Solver: You have an innate ability to think on your feet, resolve issues quickly, and make decisions under pressure. Your problem-solving skills allow you to navigate challenges that may arise during the bid process
- Resilience: You understand that not all bids will be successful, but you're able to learn from these experiences and bounce back quickly, continuously striving to improve and succeed in future bids.
- Adaptability: The business landscape changes rapidly, especially in the PropTech sector. Your ability to adapt and remain flexible is critical to adjusting strategies as necessary and seizing new opportunities as they arise.
Working arrangements
We embrace smarter working practices which offer our employees the opportunity to work their hours flexibly and remotely where their roles and business needs allow. In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work from the Concerto, Warrington office and working Monday to Friday 8:30 am top 5:00 pm with an hour for lunch break
